Paul Murphy Admits He ‘Loves Irish Water’

During his recent c. 26 minute interview with Ryan Tubridy on RTE’s Late Late Show Paul Murphy TD was seen sipping his glass of (Irish) water on 20 occasions.

Indeed it might be more as he could have had another few sips during the playing of the ‘footage protests’ against President Michael D. Higgins and Tanaiste Joan Burton T.D.

Whatever way you add it that’s a sip of Irish Water at least every 75 seconds. Now how could any person that has such a love – and need – for Irish Water want to scrap it? However, the word from RTE is that they’ve now been put under certain ‘political pressure’ to ensure that Paul will be invoiced for all the water her drinks on any further RTE TV appearances. It’s also feared that if they don’t invoice him that next time he’ll be wanting a ‘free lunch’…for himself and for everyone else!

In other news, on the following (Saturday) night Ex. Minister/T.D. and now Newstalk Breakfast man Ivan Yates was on Brendan O’Connor’s RTE Saturday Night Show – and during his c. 17 min interview with Brendan he wasn’t seen sipping his glass of water a single time. Perhaps after his troubled business/bankruptcy past he better understands that the word ‘free’ no longer exists. You’ll note that Ivan always wears a jacket on TV appearances – it’s believed he always brings his own bottle of water in one of his jacket pockets.
