‘We Could Do With A Drop Of Rain’ Says Local Man, Minutes before He Is Beaten To Death
Friends, relatives and some of the World’s finest surgeons gathered around the hospital bed of 27 year old Martin Keogh after he was attacked and beaten to a bloody pulp after saying ‘we could do with a drop of rain’ in a local pub.
Despite the ongoing glorious heatwave and accompanying sunshine, the Mayo farmer admitted to friends that he was ‘finding it hard to cope with the heat’ and that ‘the land is getting awful dry’.
A table of lads close by overheard his words and attacked instantly beating the man about the head with stools, tables and even other Mayomen. Every other person there is believed to have joined in at some stage or other in the beating and afterwards the man was rushed to Galway Hospital where his conditioned was described as ‘well deserved’.
It will come as a stern warning to those who wish to bad mouth our glorious Sun-mother, whose electromagnetic rays provide sustenance and warmth to us cold mouthing Irish.
It has since come to our attention that Martin has sadly passed away.
